Picked this hotel because of the recent good reviews and wasnt disappointed. Good location, helpful staff and clean comfortable spacious room. Coffee machine in the room but it was easier to go to the 12th floor where you can get it free from the coffee machine or make tea with the hot water.
We asked for a high floor and ended up on the next to top(30th). Great view and no traffic noise.

Booked a car for return to JKF with bellstand guys and was told it would be a car - $55 including tolls. Jaw dropped when we walked outside and found a stretch limo (thanks guys).
Try the Oxford Cafe (just around the corner on E.52nd St) for a quick breakfast, lunch or slice of pizza at midnight!. You can just buy your food at the counter and then sit down and use the chairs and tables provided. If you sit down first someone will take your order which is fine but you will then pay the service charge (tip).
The Madison Diner (1st Ave/E. 53rd St) is great for a sit down breakfast. We also had dinner there one evening and that was good too. Not fancy but does good food.

My two sisters and I get together once a year or so to have a fun NYC weekend, and it's important for us to stay together. This hotel was the only one in our price range that would guarantee separate beds. We had a very large room with two queen beds and a large (and comfortable) sofa bed. The obviously new beds and bedding were super-luxurious. All of our requests were accommodated (high floor, refrigerator, extra towels, etc.) My working sister appreciated the free wi-fi. And most important of all, the service people - front desk, bellmen, restaurant staff, housekeeping - were beyond helpful, cooperative, cheerful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel for families and/or friends who want to "hang out" together instead of booking small separate rooms. We will definitely return.

We loved the location and the staff! Very clean and very nice for all ages.

Arrived at the hotel on 29th Aug for 4 nights,our room was a really good size with the most comfortable queen bed i've slept in,in any hotel i've ever stayed.The room was also really clean.The location of this hotel has to be one of its best features,it's really close to Bloomingdales,5th Ave,Rockefeller centre with times square only a 20 min walk.This was our first trip to nyc and we choose this hotel after reading the reviews on trip advisor.The staff were all really friendly and helpful especially the concierge who was a font of knowledge and a really nice guy,the complimentary tea and coffee was most welcome after a long day walking round manhattan as did the free internet access all located on the 12th floor.Overall this was a fantastic holiday and i would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking about going to New York.
