I stayed at the Four Seasons Philadelphia for a weekend in mid February. The hotel was very busy that weekend and it looked like many families were staying there. I have stayed here before a few times, and this time, I felt there were afew things that did not go as smoothly as in my previous times there.
The good: The rooms are very comfortable, the linens are wonderful and the bathrooms are clean and very tasteful.
The room service came on time and was very good.
Our car was always ready when we needed it....but for $45 dollars a day for vallet parking, it should be.
The trouble spots: We had trouble checking in as there were no more suites with 2 beds (I was traveling with my teenager) which is what we had reserved. After alot of time, they finally gave us 2 connecting rooms, each with a king bed, so we were very satisfied with how the problem was eventually handled.
The hotel was VERY noisy. We were woken up a number of times during the night by noise in the hallways. In all the Four Seasons I have stayed in, noise has never been a problem but this time it really was. Maybe they need to have some "quiet section" for clients who are not going to party all night or who are not traveling with young children.
They need to upgrade the TV's to flatscreens. I recently stayed in a Ritz Carlton and all their TV's are now flat screens with HD which is a really nice touch. That hotel was much quieter too....
I won't hold this one "OK" stay at this Four Season's against them, and I would stay in this hotel again, it's just that this stay was not as flawless as the ones in the past.
