“Great 4th of July experience”

Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia

Aug 27, 2008

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the night of July 4th because we wanted to be close to the fireworks in downtown Philadelphia.

What a great idea - the hotel allowed us to check in early, and we were walking distance from all of the museums and Rittenhouse Square. We had a great dinner at the Swann restaurant before heading out to see the fireworks. We only had to walk a few blocks to get a great view! Also, it started to rain, so we were able to use the hotel's umbrellas instead of digging our own out of the car.

The next morning, we had breakfast at The Fountain restaurant - absolutely delicious, and a great way to experience the setting and service while avoiding the higher dinner prices. We also enjoyed a dip in the pool before checkout.

Our stay at the hotel was a great start to a long weekend in the region. We'll definitely be back!

“Pleasant stay & no complaints.”

We weren't looking to staying at the Ritz for the third time and decided to go with 4 Seasons.

Everything from the check-in to room service to personal services like laundry & alterations was handled professionaly and VERY fast, most of the time much sooner than the time frame given.

Our executive suite had courtyard & city views and while I'm not crazy about the shabby chic decor, it was clean and spacious.

While the food was nothing to rave about, we tried the Swann Lounge for lunch, the friendly service made things a bit easier, especially when compared to the Ritz. Overall, the staff at the hotel is eager to please and does so, it seems like, genuinely.

No problems with housekeeping encountered. We wouldn't hesitate to return to this property next time we're in town.

“We Loved It!”

Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia

We stayed here for 1-night to treat ourself while passing through Philadelphia and loved everything about the hotel. We booked a standard room and when we arrived they upgraded us to an amazing beautiful suite! It was huge and even had 2 full-size bathrooms and a kitchen (service entrance). Room was very clean, beds were extremely comfortable, and we fans of the enormous flatscreen TV. Great views of the city as well Wish we could have stayed longer!

“Impeccable Service!!!”

Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia

While this is certainly not the biggest or flashiest hotel in the world (or even Philadelphia for that matter), what puts the Four Seasons Philly over the top is the impeccable, indulgent service you receive from the minute you arrive until the minute you leave.

Arriving by car, I was swarmed by valets, bellhops and doormen before I had even come to a complete stop. Whisked inside the cool, elegant lobby down a hall to the decadently wood-panelled reception desk, I believe my check-in took about all of one minute, and everything was correct, executive suite with king bed, smoking. I know everyone else is always complaining about getting a smoking room or how hotels smell of smoke, but as a smoker, believe me, nowadays it is a refreshing rarity to get the smoking room you requested on the first shot without a hassle!

All the food, whether room service or in the cafe downstairs, was the best of whatever you were eating that you'd ever had in your life! Room service was always quick, correct and courteous to a fault, and my wife still remarks over how the phone said "touch" instead of "dial" for extentions for room service, concierge, etc...there aren't even ice machines, to get your ice bucket filled, "touch" a button and in seconds a knock at the door and someone is off and back in a few with a fresh bucket of ice for you.

The spa, while small, provided excellent service (I had a foot massage, my wife had a facial).

The rooms, while nothing spectacular, were spacious and clean. I did feel however that the bathroom could have been larger and the view better. My only complaint would be this is a spread out low-rise hotel (only 8 floors); in such a large city, I would prefer a taller hotel both for the views and to be further removed from the streets of Philadelphia, which can be very noisy at times!

Overall, the premiere choice if you want to be coddled discreetly in an atmosphere of understated elegance!
