“Disappointed”

This hotel is not up to Hilton standards. The decor of the hotel is very dated and run down, espicially in the hallways with guest rooms. Service at the front desk was very rude, I felt like I was bothering them when I called to tell them the room they had given me had a clogged shower. I feel they could swap the sign on the hotel with that of Comfort Inn and no one would notice. I was very disappointed.

“No problems, had a fine stay”

There are some scary reviews of this hotel! We found it to be just fine. The location is extremely convenient to the airport. There is some construction going on and the signs marking the entrances to the parking lot are pretty small, so we drove around a little after missing the entrance the first time, but that was the only negative. Parking was easy and free - no problems there. When making the reservation, we had asked for an early check-in at 1pm. We arrived even earlier, at noon, and our room was already ready for us, and check-in took less than five minutes.

The room was clean and comfortable, air conditioning was great, bathroom nice and clean. I liked the coffee maker that made one or two cups right in the mug rather than using a carafe. The bed was very comfortable with lots of layers of sheets and blankets.

There is no wireless internet access in the rooms, but there is a wired connection, which we didn't use. The business center computers charge 49 cents a minute to use the internet.

We wanted a quick lunch so we got a sandwich in the sports bar. Nothing great but it was fine, and fast. It would be nice if the coffee shop would stay open on the weekends.

“Good Value- Customer Service skills could use a little work”

My family stayed at this hotel in order to see baseball games over Father's Day weekend. Some arrived by car and some by train. Our check in took some time in line and we were met by stone faced employees. Didn't ever smile. Restaurant was fine for us. We are not picky. We ate breakfast there. The major down side of our experience was when some used birth control supplies were found in the drawer of the bed side stand. Gross. It planted doubts about whether proper cleaning had been done between guests. When reported to hotel staff at the front desk, we were told, "sorry". Not what I expected at a Hilton property.

“Horrible Hilton Experience! THEFT!”

This is the worst vacation experience I have had, and the most surprising thing about it- that it happened at a HILTON.

We booked a HiltonHonors room via the Hilton website. We were happy with the great price of the room, $114 per night. Upon check in on Friday evening we were disappointed that the employee working at the desk was not helpful at all. It was almost like she did not know how to speak. She did not smile or welcome us. When asked questions she made a curt reply if any. Upon getting in our room we immediately noticed the room was HOT. We set the AC to a cold temp but the room did not cool until early morning. The paint on the walls of the room are peeling, and the walls look like they are separating from the ceilings! The bathroom was nice, and at least it was clean. I agree with all the other reviewers that say the beds here are comfortable.

There is a Starbucks at this location, but beware that it is only open Monday thru Friday, we were disappointed that it was not open on the weekend of our stay.

The very worst part about this location is that it is NOT safe. Upon check out on Sunday morning our car was broken into. Several things were stolen from our car while parked in the Hilton lot. Our car window was smashed in. We immediately informed the front desk about our damage. Security was called and the police were called. The MOST disturbing things we found out were from the security at the Hilton. We were told that the previous weekend 4 cars were vandalized and GPS units stolen. The night our car was broken into, 5 other cars were as well! We were also told that there were 5 security cars patrolling the parking lot on Saturday night. The parking lot is not HUGE, it is medium sized and 5 security cars should be sufficient to watch 5 cars being vandalized! There are signs posted that say Hilton is not responsible for items stolen from cars parked in their lot....that being said, it seems too fishy to me that all this could happen two weekends in a row! Also, Hilton took no action to stop it from happening! It would have been good to know that they were having a problem with theft from vehicles. Then we could have taken precautions to avoid our loss.

The worst part about it was the customer service we received during the whole ordeal. We waited for the police to show up, waited to have our car window 'wrapped' in plastic, waited for the glass to be vaccumed out, all the while no one offered to give us even something as simple as a muffin to eat! Then, to make matters worse, they did a horrible job getting the glass out of the car....they left pieces of glass everywhere in the car. The 'plastic' they wrapped the window in was not clear so we could not safely drive the car with it there, we had to remove it ourselves. Then when we removed it, the tape they used peeled the paint off the car! What a mess! Then, since it was a holiday weekend, (and couldn't get the window fixed) we had to drive 700 miles back home with no window!

All this information was sent to the Hilton by my fiance, (the HiltonHonor member), and the response was just like the customer service at this Hilton! Three weeks after he sent the email he received an email from the manager of the hotel saying he received my fiance's email and that he would be calling the next day....well, that was two weekends ago....and guess what!? You guessed it! No call.

Do not stay at this Hilton, and if you do, don't pay more than $50 per night and do not keep ANYTHING in your vehicle while parked there....better yet, only park your car there if you have good insurance with NO deductible! Prepare yourself for a theft!

“Rooms ok, but skip the restaurant”

Hilton Philadelphia Airport

2 of 5 stars
Hampton, NH
Jun 18, 2007

The room was clean for the most part but each of our four nights we got one fewer towel.
SKIP the restaurant 'landing' I think cold food, grainy/grity eggs rude staff when asked for them to take one meal off the bill. The Bar and grill was very friendly and hot food. They had a starbucks in the loby but it was never open.
The 'local area transportation' was at the descretion of the driver, one driver would ask if you wanted to go somewhere other than the airport, the other drivers didn't care it was the airport only.
