We were very pleasantly surprised by our stay here, after purchasing through priceline. We paid $150, but it was a Sat. nite during world series. Very convenient to old city, one block from City Tavern, about three blocks off of the Phlash line. Really, though almost any hotel in Center City (downtown) is very convenient due to the proximity of the historic sites and the Phlash line. I agree with the other reviewers who commented on the expense of room service and hotel food. It's ridiculous when there is much cheaper food very nearby. Breakfast was $20 for the basic fare.
Room was nice, bed comfy, flat screen TV great for watching football. All of the staff were extremely nice, especially front desk and housekeepers. At the front desk they looked up a Mens' Wearhouse for us to return a tux, right as we checked in.
Overall we were very pleased.

One night stay courtesy of $70 Priceline bid. The hotel and location worked great for us. I wanted to see the historic sites in Philly after a family visit to Jersey. I got an Avis rental at PHL that allowed us to drop off at the Hyatt. Then it was just 3 block walk to the Sheraton.

Easy checkin to 4th floor Starwood preferred room, but not club priviledges. So we had the flat screen tv, free bottle of water, but not all the business room amenities. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, chairs and lights functional. Tiny closet and just two small drawers, so not much room to put away your belongings if a long-term stay. Entire hotel nonsmoking.

Our room was a long way from the elevator, facing the side street, so extremely quiet. Heavy curtains blocked the red neon Bookbinders lobster sign.

Front desk staff was helpful. Bell staff courteous. Didn't eat at the hotel. Lobby computers slow, but fine. Printing complicated, but manageable. Newspapers laid out in the computer business area.

Located just blocks from the historic district so we were able to see a lot that evening and the next morning.

Liberty shuttle picked us up, we stopped at the Hyatt for someone, then at the airport within 15 minutes.

I stayed at the Sheraton for two days this past week for a business meeting and enjoyed the stay. The hotel restaurant prices were crazy. I ordered a cheese pizza via room service and it was $30! And that was just for a pizza....nothing else. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The location was worth the $30 pizza, though. I was able to walk everywhere to see the historic sites and walked across the pedestrian bridge to Penns landing to catch the ferry to the NJ aquarium. A major plus is that the double-decker tour bus stops right across from the hotel and will take you to 20 major Philly sites.

I was at the Sheraton for a weeklong conference.

The hotel was absolutely fantastic. Ambiance was nice, rooms were big, beds were comfortable, lobby was gorgeous, service was excellent.

Myself and some of the other conference go'ers were interested in some of the area restaurants and bars and asked for some recommendations from the Front Desk. They were extraordinarily helpful and helped us find some GREAT restaurants.

Also, the tourist in me loved the location. VERY close to Historic Philadelphia and South Street.

I would definitely stay here again.
