“Lovely Experience”

Trumpeter Inn

My husband and I spent one night at this place and regretted we couldn't stay longer. The location is great and rooms are clean and wonderful. We were lucky to have the whole place to ourselves as they didn't have other bookings that day. They have rooms at different rates and some are quite small. The breakfast is good and they happily accomodate your requests. The hosts are wonderful people. We have sausage, pancake, a delightful cofeecake (although not fresh) and fruits for breakfast. Make sure you tell the hosts if you prefer eggs for breakfast. They don't provide that off season. It was overall a wonderful experience!

“Beautiful place, w/ hot tub”

We stayed at the Trumpeter Inn for 2 nights, and it wasn't long enough. Our bedroom was lovely, looking out on fields. Shawn and Geoff made us feel so welcome. We enjoyed the hot tub each night we were there, so peaceful outdoors under the stars. We haven't stayed in B&Bs for over 10 years because they can be so stuffy and dark. The Trumpeter Inn was the best a B&B can be - beautiful, welcoming, and delicious breakfast. We hope to go back again.

“Beautiful Get-A-Way!”

Trumpeter Inn

Aug 11, 2008

Wow...What a beautiful, peaceful place...My husband and I spent 2 days at Trumpeter celebrating our anniversary. The location is excellent; quiet, country setting, but close enough to town to enjoy restaurants, shopping, etc. The grounds are beautiful with gardens, ponds, cozy outdoor sitting areas, a hot tub, plenty of room to enjoy and play. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and immaculate. I loved it! We enjoyed our room and private bath...The innkeepers, Jeff and Shaun are so warm, inviting, and helpful...Absolutely delicious, tasty breakfast...Shaun, you are such a great cook...We definitely will stay there again and highly recommend this place to others...can't wait for our next visit there.

We stayed in the Rosemary room for 2 nights and were really happy with our overall experience. I have stayed in many B&Bs in the Pacific NW and this is one of the best.

The location was great, the room was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, the breakfast was satisfying and the service was excellent.

Shaun Andres, the resident chef and owner, really made our stay.

Even before we arrived, she helped call on our behalf to confirm our kayak tour and get the info we needed for the next day.

Our first afternoon there, she sat down with us, provided maps and walked through various parks and fun things we might want to see.

In the kitchen, there are always freshly baked cookies up for grabs, courtesy of Shaun.

We were amazed to hear that she and her husband had just taken over ownership of the place within the last few days. I see that all of the reviews rave about Larry & Cheryl.

Returning guests will be happy to know that the Trumpeter Inn is in good hands with Shaun & Geoff.

“Quiet rural setting”

Trumpeter Inn

We usually prefer to stay close to the water in this kind of location; the rural setting is not our favorite. But the quality of the service and friendliness of the innkeepers made up for it. The location was quiet and serene, which was a bonus. Larry and Cheryl are some of the nicest people we've ever stayed with - warm and friendly. They were eager to offer advice and answer questions. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable; we enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. The breakfast was top-notch. We loved this place, and would love to return!
