We had a one bedroom suite and it was nice and roomy. Decent view although the new Trump Tower being built next door has almost destroyed their view for most rooms on the West side of the hotel.
The down side right now is the noise. The Trump Tower crew starts work about 7:00 AM and the Outrigger next door is also undergoing rennovation. We are not late sleepers so it was not that big a deal, but it is very noisy on the West facing rooms. If you are going now, try to get an East (Diamond Head) facing room.
The breakfast buffet is good, great selection, but the atmosphere is kind of like eating at Disneyland. Crowded, noisey, not at all relaxing.
Overall though, this hotel is a very nice value given the room size, friendly staff, services and location.

My family of five (2 adults & 3 teenage children) stayed 3 nights in a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suite at the Embassy Suites from 18th to 21st August 2008.

The suite was fantastic 2 large bedrooms, lounge room, 2 bathrooms and a lanai off each of the main rooms. This was a perfect place for my family to stay otherwise we have to book 2 hotel rooms which in Hawaii can become quite expensive.

We found all the staff to be very pleasant and friendly. The complimentary breakfast which included nearly everything and manager's reception were greatly appreciated.

The hotel is situated in a great area which over the past few years has been rejuvenated and is close to great restaurants and shops.

I will be returning to Hawaii in October with some other family members and I have already rebooked the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beachwalk.

Great location - close to the beach, shopping and restaurants! Everyone from the front desk staff to the housecleaning staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was large and roomy, clean and had a decent view. The best part was the breakfast provided by the hotel - a large variety of cooked foods, fruits, cereals, etc. and included a "cooked to order" omelet. The complimentary drinks, appetizers and entertainment provided during the manager's reception was also a bonus. I would certainly recommend this hotel to our friends and when we return to Waikiki, I will certainly return to this hotel.

    • Disliked — Would like the appetizers provided for the manager's reception to be changed up a little - some variety - possibly some hot appetizers

Very nice hotel! Clean and new. Staff are friendly and helpful. Big breakfast and free drinks from 5:30 to 7:30. One small error, if you have a room high the the towers the cleaning personnel don't arrive until after noon. But, its not a big deal. The hotel is a short walk from the beach and shopping. Good for everyone!!

We stayed at the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk for three nights earlier this month via the Hilton's HHonors Diamond rewards program. Our stay on Oahu was brief, followed by a more leisurely visit to Kauai, but our experience was perfect. The room was spacious, clean, and furnished very nicely with appropriate island/beach decor. We stayed in a suite, which is perfect for a family consisting of night owls and early birds! We were on the 16th floor of the Hula tower and had a decent view of the ocean. While not on the beach, the property is across the street from it and within walking distance of restaurants and shops. I barely noticed construction at the new Trump property and do not think it would detract from anyone's visit, to be honest.

Staff at the Embassy Suites was top notch: genuinely friendly without being condescending and responsive. The activities director (an Australian gentleman) gave us some great suggestions for discovering the rest of the island and directed us to the perfect North Shore beach to hang out with sea turtles!

The (complimentary) Evening Manager's Reception offers drinks, snacks, and entertainment (music and hula) and the breakfast buffet is impressive. Both help set this hotel apart, especially with the high prices in Waikiki Beach. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to family and friends and if we are fortunate enough to ever return, will most likely stay here.
