Public busses run between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas every day, from about 5 a.m. until 10 p.m. Though it’s safest to use the numerous official bus stops, which offer seats and shade, local busses can be flagged down from almost anywhere. Express busses, which look identical to the locals, can only be boarded at the official stops. The busses only run on the main highway and pass each stop every 20 minutes or so. The fare is about $1.50 between the two towns, and obviously less if you’re going a shorter distance.
