1. No Name Seafood

One of the best places in town to try the delectable chilli crabs of Singapore.  Unfortunately, you don't get much by way of bread to soak up the gobs of delicious chilli sauce!  A side order of bread is expensive, tiny, and most bizarrely of all, deep-fried.

2. The Raffles

Probably the most expensive place on earth to try a Singapore Sling, but nonetheless a great place to fantasize about being a tropical expatriate.  Fantastic colonial decor.

Try the restaurants at ChipBee Gardens, opposite Holland Village. The French restaurant Au Petit Selute is excellent and reasonably priced. Orignial Sin for good western vegetarian food and Da Paolo for Italian.

For a good variety of holistic vegetarian food cuisine, you can try 7 Sensations at Madras Street (Little India). Food and Service is delightful..

Try the black pepper crabs at Eastcoast and Banana Leaf is great for South Indian seafood and non veg.
