The rise in tourism in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica has been steep in recent years. Today, Tamarindo puts up as potentially the top contender in the country as a destination point. Parque Nacional Rincon de la Vieja gives tourists a firsthand look at the ecosystem of this region. But aside from that, the park is home to gogeous waterfalls, hot springs, and even a volcano! The other national park in this region is the Parque Nacional Marino las Baulas which is a safehaven for leatherback turtles. The best time to see these turtles is between the months of October through February.
